Independent gas fireplace service across the Lower Mainland.
A Majestic fireplace that will not light or behaves differently needs model-specific assessment before a repair is proposed. Send a whole-unit photo, any safely visible label and the symptom sequence. We accept independent service inquiries for older units too, while compatible parts and safe repair remain subject to verification.
We also assess older units, although safe repair and compatible parts depend on the model and condition.
Call or text 778-697-1807 with your city, what the fireplace is doing and a photograph of the full unit. If the model and serial number are visible in a place you can access normally and safely, include a clear picture of the label. You can also email the details. Do not remove sealed glass or open gas components to find it.
Majestic has sold different gas fireplaces, inserts and control arrangements over time. The manufacturer’s manual library uses the model or product name to locate installation and owner manuals and service-parts information. For example, the current Meridian Modern and Trilliant gas insert have their own documentation.
A remote-control issue on one model should not be treated as the same fault on another.
There is an important distinction for some older Majestic appliances. Majestic’s homeowner questions say the brand changed ownership on July 25, 2008, and the current company directs questions about products manufactured before then to the original seller. That date does not by itself tell us whether your fireplace can be serviced or repaired. It means we should identify the appliance and check the correct documentation and parts route before promising a solution.
Tell us whether the problem began at startup, after the burner lights, when using the remote, or after the fireplace has run for a while. That sequence helps the technician plan an assessment; it does not prove which component has failed.
We confirm the model and controls, inspect the unit’s condition, and test the relevant operation before proposing repair.
For a routine visit, work can include cleaning the glass, firebox, burner and logs; inspecting ignition and flame quality, gas connections and venting; checking fitted fans, remotes and thermostats; and testing operation and safety systems as applicable. The gas fireplace service and maintenance page explains the full general checklist. When the unit has a malfunction, see our repair approach for diagnosis and next steps.
If a part is needed, we check its identity and compatibility against the exact model. Our fireplace parts information explains why a familiar component name is not enough to promise fit or availability. We do not sell parts as a retail catalogue.
A Majestic owner may need independent diagnosis, a manufacturer or dealer warranty route, or an installation discussion. We first identify the appliance and condition, then explain which path fits the evidence. Parts availability, warranty eligibility and site fit cannot be inferred from the brand name or one symptom.
There are three different decisions, and the inspection helps separate them:
1. Service or repair: If the appliance is suitable for continued use and compatible components are available, we explain the work and test it after completion. 2. Manufacturer or dealer route: Majestic directs owners to its authorized dealer network for product, warranty and service support. We are an independent service business and do not claim Majestic authorization or promise to administer a manufacturer warranty. We will explain when the dealer channel is relevant. 3. Replacement: If the unit’s condition, documentation or parts availability makes repair impractical, we can discuss a replacement after reviewing the existing installation. Our installation page explains how venting, gas connections, electrical work, permits and finishing are assessed for a particular project.
This is a model-by-model decision. We will not promise that every older Majestic unit is repairable or that a needed part will be on hand at the first visit.
Majestic owners ask about older Insta-Flame units, nonresponsive remotes, soot and manufacturer support. A symptom or brand name alone cannot establish a repair. The answers below distinguish safe appointment preparation, independent assessment and situations where a dealer warranty pathway or urgent gas utility guidance may apply.
We accept assessment requests for older gas fireplaces. A name such as Majestic or Insta-Flame is only a starting point: the model, condition, documentation and availability of a suitable part determine the options. Send photos of the complete unit and its accessible rating label if available.
No. The remote, receiver, power supply, ignition sequence or other controls may be involved, depending on the installed system. Majestic provides different use-and-care resources, including remote information. We identify the equipment before drawing a conclusion.
We do not present ourselves as a Majestic-authorized dealer. For a manufacturer warranty or dealer-only support question, we will tell you to check the applicable Majestic/dealer process. Our one-year warranty covers our completed workmanship; parts and equipment remain under their applicable manufacturer terms.
Stop using a fireplace with unexpected soot or changed operation until it has been assessed. If you smell gas, FortisBC advises leaving the area without operating switches or a phone indoors, then calling its emergency line at 1-800-663-9911 or 911 once outside. Our general fireplace FAQ answers other appointment questions.
